Since Eric was out of town at E3 Dana, Digby, and I headed down to the lake for a day of relaxing in the sun. We had a good time getting to hang out and catch up with each other and spend time with my family. Things have been crazy busy with both of our lives seeing that we are both moving this month. It ended up being a beautiful day and we were able to get a little sun. Finally we had a break to all of this rain!
Lake with Dana
31 MayMemorial Day Weekend at the Lake
25 MayThis weekend was so much fun. Saturday after I dropped off Bella from our spend the night party Digby and I headed down to the lake to visit with my family. On Saturday it was just My Mom, Dad, Steve, Kendall and Me visiting with Gan-Gan, Paw-Paw, Freda, and Jerry. We had a really nice time with just the five of us hanging out. It has been a while since it was only us so it was special getting to play games, talk, and ride in the car together like the old days. It was pouring down rain and quite chilly all day but will still managed to have the best time playing cricket and Mexican Domino’s.

On Sunday after showing the house (please take a quick moment right now and pray that it sells-only if God’s will) Digby and I went back down to the lake. This time it was only my Dad, Mom, and me visiting Gan-Gan and Paw-Paw. We had the best time just sitting on the porch and chatting. It was still pretty overcast but we were able to squeeze in one boat ride. When we were just floating on the water my mom saw this random bobber going up and down in the middle of the lake. She told me to pull it in…when I did there was a fish on the end. It must have snapped a local fisherman’s line. It was so funny and by far the easiest fish I have ever caught. Later that night I went to pick Eric up from the airport. It was so neat because that hour the only plane landing at the airport was Eric’s. When I was sitting in the cell phone lot waiting for him I saw Eric’s plane fly right through a Rainbow. Look really close at the picture below…His plane is in the yellow part of the rainbow!I was so excited to get him home. I am very glad that he will be here for 5 entire nights this week.

Monday was Memorial Day. It was very special because we were able to have the entire Bush family, minus Gary, Kyler, and Jillian down to the lake with us. We had a great time getting to hang out with the kids and play around with them. It was a perfect day despite a couple of showers and minor life jacket battle with Bella.
Taylor caught two fish and Eric caught one. It was much warmer today and we all managed to get a little bit of sun with visiting, eating and having a fun time with each other. We will have to go again and take the missing ones along.

Ok…I know that this is a super long post but here are some more super sweet images I could just not leave out!

What Eric has been up to…
24 MayIt is countdown to E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) and in Eric’s line of work that is the busiest time of the year. He will be gone for a total of 15 nights this month playing and reviewing games. This involves him flying to San Fransisco, LA, and Las Vegas multiple times. I have been really missing him at home but I know that he loves his job and has had some amazing experiences. He has played games that will not come out for months and met lots of cool people, such as Rampage Jackson, Dana White, Mike Tyson, Joe Rogan, and many more. I am very proud of all he does for our family and what he sacrifices to provide for us. He would make these posts but he has been so busy updating his site (which is his job) that he has not had much time to post here. So I thought I would share some pictures of what he has been up to. I can not show any shots of the games on the screen because of embargo reasons but here are some pictures that I could find of everything else…

Bella Date Night
22 MayThis morning I dropped Eric off at the airport for his 8 night of 15 away from home due to work this month. Since it has been a lonely month around the house I decided to invite a little guest for a sleepover. After work today I picked up sweet little Bella and we headed out for a girls night on the town. Seeing that Bella is not normally the biggest fan of me it took some bribing of prizes to say the least for her to come along. Our night started by a heading over to the Galleria for some shopping. When we first got there of course we had to ride the carousel, elevator, and escalator a couple of times each. Next we headed on over to Build-a-Bear to make her big “prize”! She picked out a Tiger and dressed it in a polka dot bikini. She was so cute because she wanted to keep in its house “box” and carry it around herself. She was really cracking me up dragging that around the mall. Next we headed on over to the Disney Store to pick out another prize…I know, but how can you say no to her sweet little “pweese”! There we got a Minnie Mouse sippie cup which we had to go wash right away in the bathroom so she could drink out of it at dinner. We then grabbed some Chick-Fil-a and she ate 6 nuggets, 1/2 of a large fry, and then licked the Polynesian sauce container clean. For those of you that don’t know Bella is a very light eater so it was crazy she gobbled all of this down. After dinner we went to Bruster’s for some dessert. There she ate her ice cream cone and then ate the remainder of mine. Afterward we came home and took a bath and she is now sound asleep while I am blogging. I wish she could of stayed up later to hang out…I have had a very good time bonding with her tonight. Hopefully she will want to come and hang out with me more often now!

Coldplay…(The Best Concert Ever)
21 MayMonday night was so awesome. We went over to Oak Mt. Amphitheater for the Coldplay Concert. Eric’s dad was the best Father In Law Ever! Since he works at the amphitheater he was able to totally hook us up. Gary gave us VIP parking and amazing seats. Our seats were even in the “special” area… you know, the area with the tables and red floors that is even cooler than the box seats. Eric and I got there early because Pete Yorn opened up for Coldplay, and they are one of my favorite bands too. Most of the time you have no idea who opening bands are so I was very happy to see someone open that I would actually go and pay money to see.
Later than night Tanner, Nichole, Jamie, and Trey joined us for the amazing Coldplay concert. We have seen them play before but that night the band was just so relaxed and you could tell just wanted to have fun with us. They had their butterfly confetti, balloons, glow sticks, and ran around the audience. I could not have picked a better set list either. All the songs we wanted them to play they did! I was just most surprised on how appreciative the band was. They kept thanking us so many times for coming out to see them play with everything going on in the economy. They were very personable plus put on a great show. Gary knew how they are my favorite band and had arranged it with the staff for me to walk up real close to Chris (the lead singer, Gwyneth Paltrow’s Husband) and take pictures why he was singing. I was shaking because I could not believe I was able to get that close! Our night was so perfect; we keep saying it comes in a close second to our wedding. Thanks so much Gary! You are the best…

Steve, Kendall, and Tim’s Graduation
16 MayThis morning we all headed on over to Samford to see Steve, Kendall, and Tim graduate college. It was so nice getting to see all three of them graduate at the same time. We are very proud of all of them and what they have accomplished over the years. All three graduated with high grades, many accomplishments, tons of memories, and life long friends. We even got to watch Tim, Class President, give the farewell address. After the ceremony Mam-ma, Julie, Gan-Gan, Paw-Paw, my Mom and Dad, and Eric and I all met up with Tim’s family and had lunch. It was so nice getting to hang out and visit with everyone all together.
I know without a doubt that all of them will succeed at whatever they put their minds to. We wish them the best of luck and they take the next step into the workforce!

Taylor’s Preschool Graduation
16 MayIt is that time of the year….Graduation Time. Yesterday was Taylor’s Preschool Graduation. He was so cute walking down the isle, singing songs , and getting his diploma. After the ceremony his school had a special lunch for the little graduates and their families. Eric was sad not to be there because he was out of town with work but I emailed lots of pictures of the ceremony. Since Eric was back in town today we met up with Taylor again to celebrate…a trip to the park, pizza, ice cream at brusters, and a graduation gift surprise. We just can’t believe that our little tot man is old enough to start big school this fall.

Date Night at Leonardos.
11 MaySince over the next three weeks Eric is going to be out of town for a total of 13 nights we are having to move our date night schedule around. So tonight we decided to grab some dinner at Leonardo’s. We have not been there in years and I forgot how much I missed those yummy rolls and lobster ravioli. After dinner we walked over to Serendipity Sweets for ice cream then headed back to the house for some tv time with Digby. What a perfect night…
Happy Mother’s Day!
10 MayToday is a very special day because it is a day to celebrate our mother’s. I am so grateful for my mom. She is such a wonderful woman and great role model. I am extremely thankful for everything she has taught me and blessed me with. She is a perfect example of a truly beautiful woman. I think she is just so gorgeous both inside and out. I pray that one day I will be just as great as a mom she is. To celebrate her special day this past Friday I spent the evening with her. We went and grabbed some yummy mexican dinner just the two of us and had a great time talking about life. Later we took the dog’s and my dad to Shades Valley Middle Track and walked around and watched the beautiful sunset from the top of the hill. Then just hung out back at her house. It was so nice getting to spend some time with her. And today Eric and I stopped by her house to visit and eat some strawberry shortcake.
We also got together to celebrate another very special woman in my life. My sweet mother-in-law Susan. She one of the most kind, compassionate, and good hearted woman I know. She has taught me how to have such a steady attitude towards life. No matter what life throws her way she always walks with such a graceful, calm, and loving demeanor. I pray that she rubs some of that off to me…
To celebrate mother’s day with Susan we all went and grabbed some lunch at Pablo’s (I am starting to sense a mexican for mothers day theme.) It was so nice to get to spend time with her and another superb mother we love, Nichole. Not sure how she does it with those three little ones. My hats off to you too Nichole for raising some cute, loving, and well behaved kids.
Both Eric and I are very fortunate to have some amazing moms. Without the both of you our lifes would not be the same. Thank you both for loving us and caring for us. We love you more than you could imagine!

Beach Trip!
6 MaySorry it has been so long since we have made a post. We were super busy getting ready for the beach and since returning we have been both been working hard playing catch up at work. But it was all worth it because we had an awesome time at the beach. Friday morning Eric and I got up early and headed on down to the beach. The first night we stayed at Baytowne Wharf. Even though it was overcast we had a nice time hanging out on our balcony with a beautiful view of the beach and bay and eating yummy beach food. The next morning we got up and headed on over the Holiday Beach Resort to meet up with the rest of the Bush family that could make it. Once there we had a great time getting to hang out with Nana and Papa T, Susan, Jillian, Tanner, Nichole, Kacie, Taylor, Bella, and Marjorie Ann.
It was so nice getting to just relax by the beach and pool and get to play with the kids. Cute little Marjorie Ann was such a beach bum. She loved just laying in here little tent with the ocean breeze. Bella was so much fun this time at the beach, she was so fun in the pool and playing in the sand. Taylor loved his new hermit crabs and the flounder I caught that had washed up to the shore.
We had beautiful weather everyday until Monday but by then we were so sunburn it was nice to take a break and visit the Gulfarium. Now we are sad to be back home with this rainy weather and fighting Eric’s HORRIBLE sun poison. But we still can’t wait to go back in August.
