Important Message for Women With Water and Cars

31 Mar

My friend Rachel Zoe got a very important email from her mother and it would be really great if you all could read it and pass it on….

From Johns-Hopkins: Bottled water in your car is very dangerous! On the Ellen show, Sheryl Crow said this is what caused her breastcancer.  It has been identified as the most common cause of the high levels of dioxin in breast cancer tissue.

Sheryl Crow’s oncologist told her: Women should not drink bottled water that has been left in a car. The heat reacts with the chemicals in the plastic of the bottle which releases dioxin into the water.  Dioxin is a toxin increasingly found in breast cancer tissue. So please be careful and do not drink bottled water that has been l left in a car.

Pass this on to all the women in your life. This information is the kind we need to know that just might save us!  Use a stainless steel canteen or a glass bottle instead of plastic! LET EVERYONE WHO HAS A WIFE / GIRLFRIEND /DAUGHTER KNOW PLEASE!

Our Weekend

29 Mar

We did not do too much this weekend. On Friday we just hung out around the house and our big outing was a trip to Wal-Mart to pick up a For Sale by Owner sign till the ones we ordered from forsalebyowner.com gets here. We also pick up Burger King for a late night snack. See eric’s excitement below…

On Saturday we go up and went to put a contingency contract on a house in Ross Bridge: James Hill! Now we just have to wait for our house to sell then we will have a new house. I am just glad that we got all of the house buying negotiations out of the way. Now all we have left is the negotiations on this house.

Saturday afternoon we went over to Tanner and Nichole’s to watch Mizzou play in their elite 8 game. It was very close the entire time and right there at the end Mizzou could not pull it out. But per Gary’s blog post request…

ONLY 153 MORE DAYS TO ANOTHER EXCITING SEASON….

This morning we woke up and cleaned for our Open House today. We had 2 people show up….That is 2 more than our last open house so that is good. Like Eric keeps reminding me “It only takes one!” So please be praying that our house will sell soon.

A Fun Break in Our Day

25 Mar

During work today I got a phone call about lunch at Cafe Lazio with the Bush’s. I was so glad a took a break from the dreary/rainy day at work and went and met all of them for lunch. We had a great time and the two little girls were SO SUPER CUTE in their matching outfits! We sure do love our little nieces…

Mr. Pouty Pants

23 Mar

Well it has been a rough day for The Digs…This weekend I noticed how his allergies have been acting up again and he had licked himself raw on his belly. So I dropped him off at the vet this morning. When I went to pick him up I learned that he had to get his belly shaved, 2 shots, lots of meds, and this contraption. He is miserable. He just keeps running into the walls, tables, and us. We are going to have to repaint after these THREE WEEKS of him wearing it.

But he looks so funny I had to post some pictures. The funniest thing was when Eric threw him some old pizza crust Digby had a come-apart trying to eat it. But he could not pick it up…Poor Little Guy!

Saturday at the Bush’s…

21 Mar

We started off the day by sleeping late…a favorite thing of mine. Then once we got up we started doing things around the house to get ready for our first and hopefully last open house tomorrow. Some of these things included…cleaning the grout between the tile in shower and bathroom floors, organizing the attic (you never know if someone may want to take a peek), cleaning out closets, laying new bark out in the backyard. Oh the joys of trying to sell a house. Well if it never sells at least we will have a really clean and organized house.

Nana, Papa, Sandy, and Bob came in town today from Nashville. They stopped by to see the house and then later that night we headed over to Gary and Susan’s for dinner with everyone. It was so nice getting to visit with them and the kids. We had a very nice night sitting on their back porch eating.

Now we are heading out the door to see Duplicity…

Surin and a Movie

21 Mar

Friday was another wonderful night. Dana and Jonny joined Eric and I for dinner at Surin 280 we had some yummy soup and sushi. Afterwards we came back to the house and played Scrabble on the Xbox. It was tons of fun. I was ahead till Jonny came in and spelled AMAZED on a triple word score. For those of you that are not aware a “Z” is worth 10 points so there was no catching him after he swept the board with that word.

Later that night we went and saw “I Love You Man”. It was funny and a perfect movie to see with best friends.

It’s that time of year again…

My Sweet Hubby…

20 Mar

Today was a really long day at work and I was kinda down in the dumps but then my night took a wonderful turn…Upon arriving home I opened the door and saw a trail of rose petals and candles leading to the table with dinner. Eric was just so sweet and romantic to do this for no reason whatsoever. I even got a little surprise. It was supposed to be my birthday present but he just could not resist giving it to me early. It was a necklace that I have REALLY been wanting. It is a Helen Ficaloa Charm Necklace with my initals. Liz Lemon on 30 Rock always wears one and since I first started watching I have commented on how I like it. And much to my suprise Eric heard my little comment and suprised me. Just the sweetest thing ever!

Grocery Shopping

17 Mar

Today Jessica and I went to Publix and did our couponing and grocery shopping. Thanks to all the coupons and Jessica’s excellent math skills I was able to save $96.00 with coupons! That was a record for me. I even came home with 6 boxes of free Eggo’s and 8 Bottles of Lysol Spray for $.35 each. Very exciting day! Now if we could only sell our house and get a bigger kitchen with a pantry to store all of my good deals…
