Marriage Conference

28 Feb

This weekend Eric and I attended the Marriage Conference at Church of the Highlands. We had a great time and learned A LOT about each other individually and us together in our marriage. We loved listening to Pastor Chris and Les and Leslie Parrot and purchased several of their books to continue developing a strong marriage. At the conference we hung out a bit with our good friends Jessica and Casey Floyd. (Below is a picture of Jessica and I). After the Friday night session we stopped by my parents house to visit with them a little bit. Check out my dad’s new “Email Address” below…as you can tell he is not adjusting to modern technology. :)

After Saturday’s Marriage Conference we went over to Gary and Susan’s to visit with Bubba and John who are on their way home to Missouri from Florida. We had a nice time getting to visit with the family–even Jillian was in town from Auburn. Now we are back at the house packing for Eric’s trip to Redmond, WA for the MVP conference.  He will make up to date post about his awesome experience.

Steve and Tim’s Basketball Game

26 Feb

Tonight Eric and I went over to Samford to watch Steve and Tim’s Intramural Basketball Game. It was a very exciting game with many basket’s made by both Steve and Tim. We were very proud of our brother and soon to be brother-in-law. Can’t wait to go see them play again in the finals! Go DeezNYaFace!

Time to Roll out the Red Carpet…Oscar Party!

24 Feb

Tonight Jonny, Dana, Eric and I got all dolled up for our Oscar Party. We had a blast getting together to walk our very own red carpet, had delicious food, made unique Oscartini’s (Sprite with Strawberries- Very Yummy!), also played Oscar Trivia, and had a contest to see who could guess the most winners…Eric won of course. Our night was topped off by Slumdog Millionaire bringing home 8 Oscars. A must see movie for all of you who have not caught that flick yet.

Kyler’s Birthday Party

21 Feb

Today we celebrated Kyler’s Birthday (even though his actual birthday was last week). We started out the celebration by going over to Tanner and Nichole’s to watch the Mizzou game. Then we all went out to eat at O’Charlie’s. You would have never known Marjorie Ann was there because she slept in her stroller the whole time. The food was great at the time…but made me REALLY sick later. After dinner Eric, Kyler, Felicia, and I went ice skating at the Pelham Ice Arena. It was so much fun getting to skate around.

Marjorie Ann’s 1st Visit to Our House

20 Feb

Tonight we got the pleasant surprise of little Marjorie Ann visiting our house for the first time. She came over with Bella, Taylor, Tanner and Nichole. We had a great time playing Lincoln Logs, dancing to Lady GaGa, and holding sweet little Marjorie Ann. Thanks for coming over to visit you guys!

Marjorie Ann's 1st Visit

Other activities from the night: Before Tanner and Nichole came over we went out to dinner to where else- Vera Cruise. After the kids left went went and saw “Rachel Getting Married” at the dollar theater. I thought there were a good bit of drawn out scenes that could have been cut but the main story line was about a girl getting out of Rehab and the struggles her family faces to forgive.

VladStudio on Mobile Phone

18 Feb

Vlad-Studio now has all of their free images sized to fit perfectly on several phones that have backgrounds. I just love their style of images and wanted to share so you all can enjoy too. Here are a couple of images that I have used on my phone just so you can get an idea…

A Must Buy…

17 Feb

Oh my…Look at these cool new things that I really feel the need to have. They look so cool. But I guess I will wait to purchase once I have a street with sidewalks or at least I street that I can walk on.

CiCi’s Pizza

16 Feb

Being that today is President’s Day it was a slow day around the office. I got to spend time organizing my office, checking out friends blogs, and grabbing lunch with some of my favorite people–Bella, Taylor, Eric, Tanner, Emily, and Kacie. Below are some pictures of our lunch. And not a surprise at all…Taylor won another stuffed animal out of those crane things. I am not sure how many he has actually won but it is a ton. He seems to have this super human power so that just about every time he plays he wins. (This is how Digby lucked out to get his alligator. See pic on the left of blog.)

Valentines Weekend 2009

15 Feb

This weekend was our 5th Valentines together. That is so crazy to think about. We had a wonderful time spending our weekend together at The Wynfery Hotel in the Galleria. We checked in after work on Friday and and grabbed some dinner at Sbarro’s Pizza. Then Eric surprised me with movie ticket to Confessions of a Shopaholic. The movie was so cute and funny. (Sorry Dana- I know I was supposed to see this with you.) On Saturday we woke up got ready and then headed back to the house to let Digby out and grab some lunch at Chick-fil-a. Next it was shopping time. This year we opted not to get each other presents but instead go shopping for new spring clothes. It was so much fun getting to run around and pick out new outfits for each other. Later that night we went to dinner at Shula’s Steakhouse. It was very yummy…however we were not too fond of the atmosphere and luckily we had a gift certificate because we would have never paid that kind of money for that restaurant. (It would be a perfect atmosphere for an old man that still wants to relive his high school football glory days.) After dinner we headed back up to the room where Eric was so sweet and surprised me with a few of my favorite things even though we were not supposed to be swapping gifts. I got a pot of Calla Lillies, Cotton Candy, the best lotion ever (super creamy and the name is “THICK”- I love it!) and some other unmentionables. But needless to say he was such a sweetheart and totally swept me away for our best Valentines ever!

Step Sing 2009

13 Feb

Last night I finally got out of the house after being bedridden with the flu all week. My Mom, Dad, Kendall, Eric, Dana, and I all went to Samford to cheer Steve and Tim on at Step Sing. The both danced and singed and gave an awesome performance. My favorite part of this years show was Steve’s special dance number and Tim’s juggling. This years Dudes of Plenty theme was “The Show”. They did great and in my personal opinion won by a long shot. I guess we will have to wait until Saturday to see what the judges say. Below are some pictures from this years performance as well as a movie clip of their 2007  win “Monsters” (This years not on the internet yet). Enjoy!
